Thanks...great to see your comment and agreement. Evolving resources such as these that utilize the power of open source technologies seem to offer so much promise for the future!

Hey Chris...YES, that was me! Thanks for taking the time to read further in my blog and share your resource. We need to keep sharing the message and helping these software developers realize how "equally" important the accessibility features are as well.

Hi Dr. Frannie,
A colleague of mine sent me this blog post of yours. I think I'm the person you reference who made the mention of closed captioning at the Camtasia workshop. Which means you must have been the person who came up to me afterwards and thanked me for making the comment. Thanks for the thanks!
It's great to know that there are other like-minded people working toward the same goals.
By the way, I do a podcast on using tools in public schools to help students who are struggling. It's called the A.T.TIPSCAST. You can check it out at http://tinyurl.com/attipscast or you can find it on iTunes.

Thanks so much and keep up the good work!
Chris

Similar situation at the VCU Student Commons. Bud and I went there to watch with students. Cool moment when Feindstein said, "Will you all please rise" and all the students stood up!

Thanks Christine. Actually, the feature is not exactly as slick as we might desire. One must first add the captioning to the video. You Tube make the process a bit easier in helping to allow a video creator the ability to connect their captions to their videos and to turn that feature on if it is available. Perhaps the next iteration will allow the user to just "turn on" captioning when the video is played!
